Apple’s Weird Statement
Well everyone, there is a big misconception from Apple that just came out, on one hand when I first saw this I was hyped, but it actually looks like it’s probably not what we think. Now, as most of you know, Apple vs Epic is a massive lawsuit that happened between both companies. Epic owns Fortnite (yep, that massive game), Fortnite went ahead and created a bypass of the in-app purchase, essentially going around Apple’s commission system, Apple found out about this and took Fortnite off their App Store, Epic then sued Apple.
The new update that came out was this statement from Apple (which you can read below):
Essentially, it went through this whole entire thing where it looked like they were pushing out a new feature, but the main update was that app developers can now send an email saying that you can purchase/subscribe to the application via their website. When I saw this I was happy, but it looks like that was always the case, nothing really changed, Apple essentially just clarified the issue.
