I Wish Apple Didn’t Do This!

Welcome back everyone, there is one little thing that Apple does every year that really throws me off, and I’m not a fan of this specific situation at all. I will tell you, Apple does a lot of great things, but I wish Apple didn’t actually go ahead and wait until the new iPhones get released for developers to actually go ahead and start developing applications for that specific phone, what does that mean? Well, let’s go ahead and rewind back a little bit, not too long ago when the iPhone X came out, they bring a brand new design which is great, but what they end up doing is, for example, with the iPhone X being released there wasn’t really a big buffer time for a lot of these app developers to start actually develop applications specifically for that display size, so with the iPhone X, there was a brief period of time where a lot of the applications that we had weren’t really suited for that notch design, they ended up putting black bars at the top and bottom of a bunch of third party applications.

At that time, developers didn’t have enough time to actually develop those applications for that specific device, fast forward to now, we can see with the iPhone 13 series, the 13 Pro actually ended up bringing a 120-hertz Promotion display, the only other device that we had this kind of capability at for Apple was the iPad Pro’s, but as most of you know, there’s a lot of apps that are not really suited for both iPhones and iPads, so this has caused a ton of applications to not utilize the newer promotion display, in fact, a few applications (specifically with games) look a bit choppy on the iPhone 13 Pro/iPhone 13 Pro Max, is it a big deal? Absolutely not, but it seems like it’s an avoidable problem.

As I mentioned, we’ve seen this before, and there’s been a lot of times Apple went ahead and released a software update with new features, I just wished there were ways for the developers to utilize these hardware features before the device actually comes out, what do you think?
