iPhone 11, iPhone XR & iPhone X 😢
So, it looks like we actually have some more sad news for some of these older iPhones, I talked about this yesterday, but I kind of want to go into a little bit more detail of why this may be a bigger deal, and in my opinion, what we can do to pretty much fix this specific issue. Now, iOS 15.4 (the beta) just came out, and it looked like a pretty big update, it looks like it’s bringing a lot of different things to the table, and I’m actually really happy about it! However, it looks like this update brought an amazing feature that could have been ported over to some of the older iPhones, what is this feature? It’s using Face ID with a mask.
Now, this new feature is only supported for the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13, the iPhone 11’s and below do not support this feature. As far as I can tell, there aren’t too many differences between the Face ID sensor of an iPhone 12 and the iPhone 11, so I truly don’t understand why Apple didn’t port this feature to the iPhone 11’s and below. Now, we are currently in the first beta, so this feature can be brought in eventually, but this isn’t the first time Apple has kept these types of features to their most recent iPhones.
