iPhones Just Got a Massive Change
Well everyone, we have some awesome news, Apple finally found a way (many many years later) to actually fix face id and repair face id in general without having to replace the entire iPhone! Weirdly enough, I'm just going to get this out of the way, it says that it only supports the iPhone XS and newer, which is crazy! Does this mean that the iPhone X, and potentially the iPhone XR, don’t support this specific repair? If that’s the case, that doesn’t make sense to me at all. However, let’s just keep it positive for this article, with the ability to repair our iPhone Face ID sensor without repairing the entire iPhone, this will make the costs associated with fixing our iPhones Face ID much cheaper than what it was before (hopefully)!
Here's the thing, I don't understand why this was found out so much later, doesn't Apple make these iPhones? Shouldn’t they know every component within these devices? If that’s the case, I’m not too sure why they couldn’t have found this fix many years ago. On top of this, there were many cases where the fingerprint sensor on an iPhone couldn’t be fully usable unless Apple were to repair the iPhone themselves, this was also kind of weird, and it really only got worse over time (iPhone 6S to…
