I’ve Been Using iPhones For a While & This Is Not Good

So, I’ve been talking about iOS updates for a very long time, and I love iOS! It’s an awesome piece of software, but for some reason, the estimation time, and the amount of time it takes to install an iPhone update is completely crazy and it completely throws me off every single time! So, anytime there’s an update we make our way over to our settings, we then scroll down into general, and we click on software update (which is up top), and if there is an update available we’ll go ahead and pretty much be able to install it as normal, right? Well, with iOS updates we get an estimated time remaining for the update, essentially how long the update takes:

For some reason, these devices get stuck on preparing updates for so long, the “preparing update” section takes longer than the actual install itself most of the time, and it’s strange because even though it’s preparing the update, there are still times where a phone that I have will boot loop, even though it was supposed to be preparing the update! When I look at some Android phones, those devices are very accurate when estimating the time it takes for an update:
