One Of The Dumbest Things About iMacs

Welcome back everyone, I’ve owned a couple of iMac’s throughout my lifetime, I bought some, I’ve returned some, I’ve kept some, I still have my 2015 iMac from several years ago, and one of the most annoying things that I just I cannot understand Apple did, Apple doesn’t allow us to use these iMacs as a secondary display. With an iMac, you get a massive display, you get a very good build quality and very good performance, but once you’re done with the computer it’s essentially useless, even though the display is still beautiful. Want to know something even crazier? Apple actually allowed us to use these iMacs as a secondary display in the earlier models, but since they made the Retina iMacs they stopped giving us this feature.

Now, why would Apple not want us to do this? In my opinion, this is probably completely a money decision, they probably saw a lot of people keeping/buying older iMacs for the display, thus they had to give a reason for people to buy the latest iMac. Funny enough, I still have my other older iMac laying around, it’s not really doing much, I could always use it as another machine, but I would have loved to use it as a secondary display for my current setup.
