The One Issue With The New MacBooks
So, as most of you know, the M1 MacBook Pro’s actually just ended up coming out, specifically the 14-inch and the new 16-inch MacBook’s as well, and I’m a fan of them, I’ve already pre-ordered them as well, but there may be an issue with these MacBooks. Here’s the thing, I saw this on Reddit and I actually went over to their website to pretty much double-check this, and it does seem like it’s true, which is so crazy! The one little tiny issue I have with these new MacBooks, it’s not the notch, it’s not the more expensive price tag, it’s actually with the display, specifically with the corners. Now, almost every single device out there has the same sized corners all across the display: iPhones, iPads Samsungs, Monitors, TVs, etc., but for some reason, the new MacBook corners are not the same on every corner!
On these new MacBooks, the top corners are rounded, but the bottom corner is squared off, take a look at the image above to see what I’m talking about, why did they do this? Now, this is kind of a two-part answer, they did allow us to essentially hide the notch, so in some cases, it actually looks like a squared-off corner, even though the actual panel up top is rounded:
