Why I Don’t Use My iPad
So, throughout the last several years I’ve been talking about so many different iPads, and to be honest, I rarely ever use my iPad, and I personally do wish I used my iPads more. Here’s the thing, iPads are amazing devices, I love them so much, but every time Apple releases a new iPad, I’m always thinking to myself “will I actually use it or will it sit on a shelf?”. Honestly, the main reason why I don’t use the iPad is that I use my MacBook so much, I really only use my MacBook, I don’t even use my iPhone as much as I used to. On top of that, a big thing about these iPads is that it’s a great alternative to a MacBook, there are still a lot of benefits for an iPad, Apple Pencil support, portability, touch screen, and so much more, but I depend heavily on a desktop workflow/macOS applications.
Personally, I feel pretty sad because I see many other creators loving their iPads, but I never really got into the iPad ecosystem. The tools that I use every day, tools like Final Cut Pro, PhotoShop (now on iPad), and Audacity are desktop applications, even the iPad app alternatives aren’t that great for me.
